Are dogs allowed?
No, dogs are not allowed at the group center and you may be fined if you bring a dog there.
Is there a way to get to Rochester without renting a car?
Oh, I'm so glad you asked! There are (at least) two shuttle services between the MSP airport and Rochester. Both are under $30 one way and have 10-15 buses per day. Here are their websites:
rochestershuttleservice.com
gorochesterdirect.com
What should I bring?
Games (board/card/lawn), comfy shoes for walking around the trails, your favorite lawn chair (if you want something super comfy to sit on), funny stories and embarrassing stories of David. Prepare for the weather - umbrella, warm clothes, rain coat, possibly bathing suit. If you're staying at the group center, bring bedding (sheets, blankets, pillow), a towel, a flashlight. BUG SPRAY.
What's happening on Friday?
Friday is a day for people to arrive at their leisure, either to White Water State Park or Rochester (for hotel people). We are anticipating a very informal dinner for whoever is at White Water on Friday night.
What's the schedule for Saturday?
The ceremony is at three, and might last somewhere from 30-45 minutes. We'll have some appetizers after that. If the weather is okay, this might be a good time to explore around the park. If not, we can play a giant card game of war in the lodge. Dinner will be around six. Chicken is on the menu for meaties, and mushrooms for veggies. There will be space to eat inside and outside. Keep in mind that this meal may be more casual than you would expect from a typical wedding. If anyone has any special food requirements (besides Conor), let us know ahead of time. After dinner, we'll have some time to tell funny stories about David and eat some cake. Then, dancing, campfires, stimulating conversations, or whatever else you want to get into.
What's happening on Sunday?
We are going to try to have a light brunch at the park on Sunday late morning. Nothing fancy, just bagels, fruit, etc. Nothing is planned after that except for lots of cleaning of the group center before we go.
The invite was addressed just to me. Can I bring a significant other?
Of course! Please just tell us when you RSVP.
